Attitude of Gratitude

Welcome. I have been threatening to take those who have suggested blogging up on their challenge, so here I go. Can't think of a better way to begin than with gratitude.

In daily life, we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy.

David Steindl-Rast

Gratitude; it's easy, inexpensive, and feels good.

Why aren't we grateful all the time?
Tonight, right before you go to sleep list 3 things from the day for which you are grateful. These don't need to be earth-shattering goodies. A sunny day, a good laugh, a conversation are worthy items to add to your list. Think about only these three things as you fall asleep - not what you didn't finish today or what awaits at the office tomorrow. Do this every night. Encourage your family to join in. After a couple of weeks, you will notice an up tick in your sense of well being and you may even sleep better.

In the world to come each of us will be called to account for all the good things God put on the earth that we refused to enjoy.
